Their incredible abilities caught the eye of the great warlord Hōjō Sōun, founder of the powerful Odawara Hōjō clan.
From then on, the Fūma served the Hōjō faithfully for five generations, operating in secrecy and striking swiftly from the shadows.

Their exploits are recorded in historical texts such as the Kōyō Gunkan, Hōjō Godaiki, and Kanhasshū Kōsenroku,
yet much of the Fūma Ninja’s history remains veiled in mystery—only deepening the allure of their legacy.
